GRM2 launched a podcast

Volume 4 No. 6  | November 2024

BREAKING NEWS

GRM2 launched a new podcast called “When Bible Women Speak!”

Do you wonder why I am so passionate about the stories of Bible women? In part, it is because history repeats itself.

Consequently, it follows that we will glean insights and wisdom from the stories of these women who lived long ago, who faced the same issues, had the same concerns, dealt with the same conflicts, battled the same demons, and experienced the same victories we can claim today.

It is my prayer that we intentionally quiet our minds to listen and open our hearts to learn for they have much to teach us.

The women of the Bible offer well-qualified insights on how to live, applicable even today.

Each Thursday, you’ll see a new podcast. Please listen on the website: gazaroadministries.com/media or download our app in the Google Play store or in the Apple App Store.

A transcript is offered as a guide for deeper study with each podcast, starting with Episode 2.

Listen and let me know what you think: Email judithhawkins.GRM2@outlook.com.

If you are enjoying these devotionals, please consider purchasing a series of devotionals on self-esteem, prayer, spiritual gifts, gaining perspective, navigating trials, and more.

MISSION FOCUS

I was so honored and pleased to participate in my first women’s conference in Tennessee.

About 30 ladies attended Hollie Green’s third “Matters of the Heart” one-day event held in Linden, TN.

It was amazing to connect with ladies whose lives have actually crossed my path or know a mutual friend.

My topic examined learning to recognize the four colors of behavior types that define how we interact with and perceive others, based on a book by Thomas Erikson.

PARTNERSHIP REPORT_

Help us raise $1,500 this holiday season to bless a mother and her child.

We want to make Christmas extra special for these women and children who have taken a courageous step to change their lives.

The money raised will help these families, including buying gifts for Christmas.

GRM2 is the only organization partnered with Refuge House, the abuse shelter, to provide monthly gifts for the residents, including sorely needed bus passes.

The ladies’ needs continue to increase as Refuge House resources are stretched between multiple housing facilities.

Basics like soap, lotion, hair products, toothpaste, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products, are regularly in short supply.

Your donation of any amount will both encourage the ladies and enlarge GRM2’s impact.

Please help us help women who have sought protection at Refuge House.

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT

Ever experience something that requires you to STOP?

I did.

For all those who do not live in the country, appreciate the value of a wandering cow on the “main” road, recommended by GPS.

It winds through the woods, around the hairpin curves, across the narrow one-car bridges, and on pavement in various states of paved and not-so-paved. Since I am no longer intimidated by this road (in the daylight), a traffic-cop cow was probably a good thing. I can assure you that my speed exceeded the posted limit.

In the spiritual realm, have you experienced an unexpected way to make you slow down? Make you stop?

I so valued the moment, that after I passed the cow, I turned around and went back to take pictures.

Guess I was comfortable moving at a slower pace. And, oh yea, I met the lady who had just moved from Arizona into the very big and nice house in that neighborhood (which, like the road, is in the middle of nowhere).

Just sayin’.
